Our Services
Our principal brings six and a half years as a Vice President in global banking and markets, running a $40 billion assets-under-administration LATAM institutional book across custody, issuing and paying agent, and escrow, including nine months as interim regional head; nine months on a $15.8 billion collateralized loan obligation and asset-backed securities relationship book; and a 23-year career in U.S. Army Special Operations leading a 200-person multi-domain organization. Native Spanish fluency; operating relationships across Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, and the Caribbean.
Client Lifecycle & Onboarding Transformation
We redesign how institutions acquire, onboard, and serve clients — from KYC intake through account opening, coverage, and reporting. We eliminate fragmented tooling, manual handoffs, and key-person risk, and we build the workflows and systems to sustain the fix.
Representative work: Built a proprietary client-lifecycle platform with technology and quantitative partners, consolidating coverage, onboarding, and product data for a global client account services organization and retiring 15 enterprise Salesforce licenses (prior career, global bank, 2015-2016). Designed a smart know-your-customer intake integrated with client onboarding for a cross-border payments platform (RSS engagement).
Best fit for: institutions whose growth has outrun their onboarding and coverage infrastructure.
Treasury & Settlement Operations
We modernize treasury workflows, correspondent banking arrangements, and settlement operations — including hybrid fiat and digital-asset flows. Our work spans treasury automation, liquidity and cash optimization, and centralized cross-market reporting.
Representative work: Delivered a full operational transformation for a LATAM remittance platform in four months - automated treasury, established fiat and digital-asset correspondent banking, and harmonized reporting across all markets. The transformation eliminated key-person risk and enabled a $15M strategic sale (RSS engagement).
Best fit for: payments platforms, remittance businesses, and NBFIs scaling across borders or integrating digital-asset rails.
Market Infrastructure & Exchange Advisory
We advise exchanges and market operators on cross-listing architecture, custody infrastructure, technology modernization, and issuer strategy — grounded in direct experience with custody, IPA, and escrow products across LATAM institutional markets.
Representative work: Authored the strategic framework for a frontier-market securities exchange’s international quotation segment — covering cross-listing architecture, custody infrastructure, and ETF issuer strategy — presented to the executive committee with a projected 4-8x trading volume uplift on a $344M annualized base, including a proposed U.S. development-finance funding pathway (RSS engagement).
Best fit for: exchanges and market-infrastructure operators building international segments or modernizing post-trade operations.
Executive Reporting & Decision Support
We build the reporting layer leadership actually governs from: not a dashboard, but a controlled pipeline with the controls named. Gated intake to a permissioned location, automated parse into defined fields with nothing rekeyed, watermarked drafts carrying a date and time stamp, a standing attestation session with data owners rather than report producers, and calculation logic owned by the control function. Segregation of duties, version control, and an audit trail inside the reporting layer itself.
Representative work: Designed and ran the regional management-information and governance pipeline supporting monthly reviews for divisional global heads - key performance indicator definition, portfolio status, and investment prioritization across a $40 billion book (prior career, global bank).
Best fit for: leadership teams whose numbers are disputed in the meeting rather than before it.
Cost Structure and Resource Allocation
We decompose an expense base into its drivers and rebuild the case from activity rather than from last year's number. That includes zero-based budgeting support, headcount business cases priced rather than argued, location and contractor strategy, and vendor spend governance.
Representative work: Cross-border product expansion at a global bank was blocked by per-jurisdiction legal reviews running $50,000 to $100,000 each, duplicated across two organizations because of an internal boundary nobody had revisited. We built the business case off assets under custody and deposits by country rather than an alphabetical list, scoped the work as an addition to an adjacent unit's completed reviews rather than standalone spend, and sold it to the divisional global head. Eleven jurisdictions opened at $5,000 to $15,000 per review, roughly a tenth of the prior cost per country (prior career, global bank).
Best fit for: organizations where the blocker is not expensive, it is unowned.
Why RSS
Operator credibility. Advice from someone who has owned the book: institutional client coverage, escalation resolution, and 12% year-over-year revenue growth with $8.7 million in run-rate expansion at a global bank. Not slideware.
LATAM depth. Native Spanish, established relationships, and direct coverage experience across the region’s major markets.
Build, not just advise. Every engagement above includes implementation. We stay until it works.
